Sports Centre Kitchen

The facilities manager of a local authority leisure services department had numerous slip problems in this sports centre kitchen. The old quarry tiles, whilst in good structural order were very smooth and slippery when wet .

In 2006 to improve safety the entire kitchen floor was treated with a non slip invisible moisture reactive system. The wet slip resistance was increased from 22 SRV to 44 SRV and no slip accidents have been reported since completion.
