School Gymnasium

Major flooding had substantially damaged this natural T & G maple floor in the gymnasium of a Yorkshire primary school. Boards were displaced and the surface coating was badly attacked by water and sewage.

The floor was first left to dry out naturally before any attempts were made to replace and repair damaged boards. Once structural repairs had been made the floor was completely sanded to bring back the original natural timber appearance and a heavy duty sealer applied in 3 coats. Finally all line markings were installed.
