T & G Hardwood Floor

This restaurant which is part of a national chain of restaurants had been fully refurbished and the hardwood floor sealed with a traditional floor coating. Two weeks prior to the opening night the floor failed a slip test assessment that was carried out by the local council.

To increase the wet slip resistance of the floor the existing seal coating was removed by sanding machine. A non slip solvent free treatment was then applied to the floor incorporating a quartz anti-slip particle. The floor was then slip tested again passing the councils wet slip resistance test easily. The original appearance of the natural timber was unaffected.
