Shop Entrance

This Terrazzo Shop entrance off a pedestrian precinct had seen a number of slip incidents in wet weather. The steep slope of the entrance and the smooth Terrazzo finish were considered to be a contributing factors to the safety risks. The client did not want to alter the appearance of the surface.

A clear moisture reactive none slip treatment was applied directly on to the terrazzo surface. The work was carried out in sections during normal shop hours with minimal surface appearance change. The wet slip resistance was dramatically increased and slip incidents significantly reduced.
