Swimming Pool

The walkway around this old Victorian local authority swimming pool had become extremely slippery when wet due to years of foot traffic and body fats. A number of swimmers had experienced minor slip accidents so urgent action was required.

Whilst the pool was closed for refurbishment the entire walkway was treated with a solvent free non slip resin coating incorporating a small aggregate anti-slip quartz particle. The wet slip resistance was increased to over 55 SRV without any problems to the bare feet of swimmers. No accidents since completion of the work.
