School Corridors

This large college & school in the North East had a number of slip incidents in various areas of the school particularly near to entrances in school corridors. The old Victorian terracotta quarry tiles had very smooth surfaces which created a slip hazard when the tiles were wet.

In 2008 over 150 M² of tiles were treated with a moisture reactive clear non slip system. This dramatically increased the wet slip resistance of the tiles without altering the original appearance.
