Application Within Turkish Baths

Following substantial refurbishment a number of slip accidents were reported in this very famous Turkish baths. The Victorian mosaic which had been repaired and in some areas replaced with modern equivalents was found to be very slippery when wet. The facilities manager needed a solution that would not alter the appearance of the very decorative tiles.

In 2006 the entire area of tiles to the pool surround showers and seating areas were treated with an invisible moisture reactive non slip treatment. This did not damage or alter the appearance of the tiles but dramatically increased the wet slip resistance of the surface. No slips have now been reported since application of this treatment.
