Shopping Centre Toilets

The ladies and gents toilets in this large city centre shopping centre were identified as a high risk for slip accidents due to very poor wet slip resistance. Due to the large amount of surface water spilled on the floor by customers from sinks etc it was decided by the management team that urgent action was needed.

In 2006 the tiles were treated with a moisture reactive non slip treatment applied at night whilst the centre was closed. All floor tiles to main hand wash areas and all toilet cubicles were treated with significant slip resistance increases achieved in both ladies and gents toilets. No slip accidents have been reported since work was completed.
