Quarry Tiles

This quarry tiled access ramp which formed the rear entrance of a large retail outlet in Wales was extremely slippery when wet. This was due to the very smooth nature of the terracotta quarry tiles which had very poor slip resistance.

To improve safety for shoppers and in particular wheel chairs and push chairs, a non slip, hard wearing liquid resin safety system in black was installed in stripes along the full length of the ramp. The wet slip resistance of this high build impact resistant system is 60SRV. No slips have been reported since the work was completed in 2006.
