Block Paving

The main entrance steps to this retail outlet in a busy Scottish town were constructed of block paving. Due to the very dark colour the step nosings were not DDA compliant and were a danger to partially sighted people.

To upgrade the steps and to comply with DDA regulations each nosing was treated with a yellow highlight non slip resin coating. This dramatically improved the visual aspect of the steps and also increased the slip resistance.
