Bank

The steps to this metal fire escape at the rear of a city bank were extremely slippery when wet. The nosings had become polished through wear and weathering, resulting in risk for bank staff undertaking security checks.

Each step nosing was mechanically cleaned to remove all rust and paint then a non slip corrosion resistant resin was applied in a light grey colour. The wet slip resistance of this material is 60 SRV. No slip accidents have been reported at this site since the work was completed in 2006.
